Unlock Your T-mobile Sidekick
Here is what you get when you spend 4 dollars on Ebay for unlock codes for a sidekick 3, Sidekick ID or Sidekick II. How to unlock Sidekick ID, Sidekick 3 or the Sidekick 2 for free. This will only allow you to use the phone to make phone calls. No text, internet, chat or email.
I paid four dollars so you don’t have too! Enjoy!
1. Insert your non-TMobile sim card
2. The phone display says “Enter the code”.
3. On your Sidkick, press the “X” button.
4. You will see the menu.
5. Choose the left-up angle button.
6. Choose “setting”—>”network”—>”scan and select manually”.
7. The phone will search for your network.
8. When your Sidekick finds your network, you can use the phone to make calls
This only works until you shutdown your phone. It is not a permanent unlock.

theres a way to make it work with texting also.
ignore the first Q to enter a code.
go to settings, then sim center, enable your sim card with 1111. then change the sim lock to anything you want.
make sure you remember it.
then go to network options, scan for your servicee, and select your service.
dont do the automatic or texting wont work.
then back out, and it shoudl work!

Or maybe some of you in here can help me.
I bought an Isim and it kind of worked!
I can see all my contacts in my phonebook an alle the messeges saved on my sim card.
I have full signal on myphone too but it still says Emergency call only.
Does anyone know what to do?
I live in Denmark and therefore I need it to be unlocked to use it, because we dont have T-mobile.
Do you know if it might help if I switch to another company that supports 3G coverrige?

hey
i bought a sidekick 2008
i live in england
and had it brought over
i put a t-moblie simm card in
and it wont lemme make calls or texts or go on the internet or much
it asks for a special code… which i dont have
ive tryed to change the network settings however, it says it is connected to t-mobile, however it wont lemme do anything still … it says emergeny calls only
and ive tryed all those things , ive even took it to some phone engineeers and no one has a clue about it to be honest
i took it to the t-mobile shop in england however they cant do anything with it
i really need to fix it cause it cost me mega time , and my mam isnt happy with it not working…. plus i really want this phone and she is thinking about sending it backk , any one got any idea’s about how to get the code for it too work ??

That’s a good question. I don’t think so becuase T-Mobile and Danger has the software locked down pretty tight. They want you to use their catalog.

Hi,
i have tried unlocking my sidekick lx with the method you described above. I changed the pin to something i want, and am having a display message that says;
“Waiting for activation.
A welcome screen will appear within 48 hours after purchase. If it does not, call customer care to check your account status. Until then, press – to place emergency calls”. there is also an indication that activation is in progress. Do i need to wait for 48 hours, because i can’t exit this screen.
I will greatly appreciate any reply.

To get past the activation screen you will need to push the menu+L buttons at the same time.

I tried to unblock my sim card and then scan for networks and t says it worked but it wont let me text when i try to open text it says that sim card isnt ready ad it just tries to load forever. but hte calling works fine. i have a sidekick id

I bought a sidekick 3 on ebay….supposedly unlocked. I live in Nicaragua and when I put the chip in it didn’t work so I followed the SIM center and Network settings steps. Found the network here and everything but it will only text. I can’t answer calls or anything. Can anyone help me?
