Sidekick LX or Sidekick 2008 Space Bar Not Working
Is the space bar on your Sidekick LX not working when you are trying to text or in AIM? Do you have thesame space bar button problem on your T-mobile Sidekick 2008? Does the Sidekick spacebar work in other apps though?
If so then this fix is for you.
1. Open the AutoText & Spelling screen. From the Jump screen, press the MENU button, then select Settings > AutoText & Spelling.
2. Uncheck the following settings:

- Highlight misspelled words
- Auto correct spelling
3. Exit out of the settings screen and try it out.
Hopefully, this will have solved your issue.
How to check for misspelled words with these two options unchecked?
Run a manual spell check on T-mobile Sidekick: To run a spell check while in a text field from any Edit Text submenu, or by using the keyboard shortcut by pressing MENU +S.

You can also try, from the same screen. Press Menu then scroll down to restore defaults. Click this, then recheck ur options u’d like=)

thiz worked I was about 2 pass out cuz I already have a month wit my sidekick 08 and when I went 2 fixmysidekick.com it said space bar not workin and it said how 2 fix WHAT a RELIEF!

yeah that did work. one time I figured that out on my own but for some reason I rechecked that box because I forgot. thank god that worked I was starting to think this phone had too many freakin problems.

oh my gosh! thank you so much! i was ready to like die, i’ve only had my sidekick for like 2 weeks and i was gonna spazz. everything went down-hill when my phone died today, and i was scared somebody broke it or something. thanks a ton!!
