Clean the Trackball on A Sidekick Slide

Has the trackball on your Sidekick Slide stop scrolling properly? Do you have a hard time moving trackball and when you do it doesn’t go where you want?

Frustrated?

Think you need a new trackball for your Sidekick Slide?

Well, more than likely you don’t. You just need to clean the sidekicks trackball. This will take care of most of track ball issues.

Follow the procedure below and it enjoy a shiny, almost new like trackball today.

1: Take a deep breath and blow on the trackball area, rotate and do it again. This may blow any particles that are blocking the sensors. If you spit a lot, make sure you have a handy wipe nearby!

2: This requires a Q-tip and some alcohol. Turn off your sidekick, wet the end of the q-tip, and gently clean the trackball while rotating. Use the dry tip of the q-tip to dry off and clean again with another alchohol dipped swab. Let dry for a minute and try it out. If this doesn’t work then try again.

Thanks this worked great! My trackball would not scroll down now it does! Took 2 cleanings 4 hours apart.

is there a way to clean the sidekick id’s track ball?
cause i know theres a way to clean the slide and the 3, that’s on your site, but not the id; if you have any suggestions please tell me!

You can clean the Sidkeick ID trackball the same way as the slide or the Sidekick 3.

My sidekick LX accidentally fell in the toilet and it works but after the key guard locks and I unlock it, My trackball wont work and my panel buttons are not working right and the square button on the left works it just skips all the apps to the last and back up to the first. I dont know what to do, Im not trying to pay 100 for a new phone.

When your on the main menu go to your setting and go down to battery and display. Scroll down and uncheck the *lights blink during sleep!*
